OP. DR. AKİF FEYİZOĞLU

Born in Artvin in 1954, Op. Dr. Akif Feyizoğlu has held important positions in general surgery and healthcare management over a long professional career.
He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1980. He completed his specialist training in general surgery at the Department of General Surgery of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, qualifying as a General Surgery Specialist. During his specialist training he worked for one year at the General Surgery Clinic of the Royal Free Hospital in London, United Kingdom, gaining international professional experience.
After returning to Türkiye, he served at both the clinical and administrative levels of healthcare services. He was Chief Physician at Kartal State Hospital and Eyüp State Hospital, and subsequently served as Istanbul Provincial Director of Health Affairs of the Social Insurance Institution (SSK).
Following his administrative roles, he passed the chief resident examination of the General Surgery department at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital and began working there as Chief Resident. Alongside his surgical work, he also contributed to scientific studies.
Most recently, he served as Chief Resident in General Surgery and Deputy Chief Physician at Istanbul Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital.
He currently serves as an Advisory Board Member at GAMA Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş.
